Disney Princess Outfit Inspiration Part III

Sooooo I got even more requests to create outfits for more princesses, this will be the last one i do, but i thought it was so much fun to do these, if you guys have other sources of inspiration please let me know.
Princess 1. Mulan
Necklaces - Garden Gazebo Pendant
Flats - Joy and Merriment Flat in Cafe
i love the color combination of mulan's dress. i love finding interesting color combos and seeing how well they work together. the mint green and cobalt blue pair well together, and add just a touch of the enexpected with a maroon belt. finish off with a cute pendant and nude flats so you dont get too crazy with color.
Princess 2. Aurora
Flats - Crisscross Your Fingers Flat in Cream
so this outfit is all about looking through rose tinted glasses. the trick is to go for one color but wear different shades. the light pink shirt and poppy pants work... sort of... but add a hot pink statement necklace and your making an entire statement and suddenly it all makes sense. stick with neutral shoes of course because three shades of anything should be enough.
Princess 3. Pocahontas
For Pocahontas, simple is better. a pair of ecru skinny jeans with a cream colored fringe top has a simple elegant bohemian vibe. pair it with a turqouise statement necklace, since pocahontas was the forerunner of this trend, and a cute pair of fringed sandals since we cant really get away with walking around barefoot.
so i hope you all enjoyed part III of this trilogy, this was alot of fun to do. please share other sources of inspiration, celebrities, vacation trips, art or music. i'd love to start doing that!!

Summer Colors

i love summer colors, and i thought i would put together a few outfits based on color stories and or themes.

so here goes.

1. Peaches and Cream

so this look has an ombre effect. the coral shirt fades into a lighter creamy peach colored skirt. but wrap a gold belt around your waist to cinch it in. for shoes pair cognac colored sandals with gold detailing for a neutral accessory, and finish off with a bold coral statement necklace.

2. Mint and Tiffany Blue

Blouses - The Slightest Breeze Top

Sweaters - From Day One Cardigan

the trick to wearing an outfit all in this pretty color is to vary the shades of it, mixed in with neutrals, in this case white. the pants and the blouse are slighly different shades and to avoid that awkward im not trying to match, but it looks like i did but badly break it up with a white belt and a lace white cardigan. for shoes go for a pair with more green than blue.

3. Lucky Lavender

Necklaces - Fashionably Ornate Necklace

Earrings - Retro Rosie Earrings in Violet

Flats - Lilac Season Flat

i love lavender and pale yellow together, and they're complementary colors on the color wheel. so for this look i kept it soft and feminine with a lavender dress and pale yellow cardigan. for accessories i went for a soft pink rose statement necklace and purple earrings and shoes to complete the look.

I hope you enjoyed and are as excited for summer as i am!
