Healthy Foods!

Its always harder to eat right when you're stressed out and snacking while you're working. i know i absolutely love candy to snack on while I'm studying... its sweet and keeps me happy

But later i dont feel so happy because that sugar rush has disappeared.

i have been trying to make a conscious effort to eat healthier snack alternatives and get enough water and other nutrients in my body.

so here are a few of my favorite snacks.

1. Bunny Food

a fruit salad is healthy but tastes sweet, so it kicks my sugar craving, but is much healthier. Plus the eye craves color on a plate, so a mix of different fruits pleases the eye and can help you feel fuller faster.

2. Homemade Popcorn

theres something vastly more satisfiying about making my own popcorn... maybe because i worked at a movie theatre and i've seen what they do to their popcorn... (you dont want to know... really! you dont...)
its healthier and you dont have that awful taste of plasticky butter in your mouth after. just a pinch of salt and your good to go!

3. It's a Wrap.... Sandwich

I love tortillas, so i spread some mustard and add lettuce, turkey and peppercini's and wrap it up. its delicious and healthy. one tortilla is a good serving size you you're not over eating.

4. Greek Yogurt

this stuff is not only good for you, but it tastes good, plus you can use it as an alternative in alot of things you make. like cake, smoothies, guacamole! you can throw some fruit or granola on top for a filling breakfast.

5. Bruschetta

(Brew-sket-ta)

this is super easy to make and really tasty. pour some olive oil in a pan and stick your bread slices in there and grill them til they're your preferred shade of brown. mix olives, tomato basil and cheese if you want in a bowl and spread on the olive oil toasted bread. Bouna mangiare!

So there are a few healthier snack alternatives!

i know its not a fashion post, but sometimes i enjoy eating more than i do clothes!

Much Love <3
