transitioning outfits from day to night

our lives can be so busy and we're constantly on the go, leaving very little time to change from one event to the other.

so to make life easier, and to save you some drastic wardrobe changes, were going to pair one item two ways, from day to night.

one outfit will be daytime/ work/ weekend appropriate, then with a few changes you'll be ready for a night out on the town or even a date!

so here we go!

Item No. 1

The Striped Boat Neck Tee

This shirt is perfect for transitioning your outfits. the simple silhouette leaves so much room for creativity.

Daytime:

pair this shirt with a pair of khaki skinny jeans

cuff the hem of your pants for a more casual look.

wrap a plain scarf around your neck and to add some fun wear a pair of navy wedges

Night:

So for the evening switch out the khaki's for a cute skirt

a circle skirt is usually flattering on most body types and its easy to just tuck the shirt in and go.

to add a bit of sparkle find a bold statement necklace.

and you can stick to the same wedges as before or switch it out for another pair of heels.

condense your day purse into a clutch and you'll be fuss free for the evening so you'll have more time for fun!

Item No. 2

The Black Skinny Jean

This pant is one of the key pieces that any women should have in their wardrobe, not only is the black slimming, but the tapered leg makes it easy to transition from casual to a more formal look.

Daytime:

for the day time wear a plain white t shirt for a casual and comfortable look.

add a blazer in a soft feminine color for a more work appropriate look.

add a long pendant necklace in a geometric shape or pattern. this adds interest and some feeling of structure.

for shoes keep it simple with a plain pair of black flats

Night:

switch out the t-shirt for a peplum top. this will create a feminine silhouette, perfect for a night out.

Blouses - Shadow Chic Top

keep the same necklace on. since the top is so pretty you want that to be the main focus.

for shoes, step it up with a bold pair of heels.

Heels - It Malt Be Love Wedge this pretty pink adds color to an all black outfit.

Item No. 3

The Pencil Skirt

For this look find a pencil skirt in a fun color. this way your office look will be anything but boring, and its easy to still be a fun outfit at night.

for the day wear a navy polka dot blouse, the pattern adds interest and the navy blue allows for you to keep the look monochromatic without looking like a blueberry. find a blouse that covers your arms so you dont have to add a sweater on top. its warming up and lets face it... people are cheap and dont wana pay for the AC.
Heels - Found My Way Heel in Tan  find a pair of short cognac heels. they're not only work appropriate but are seasonally appropriate as well!

Necklaces - What About Bauble? Necklace in Rich Mauve add a bold necklace in a constrasting but complimenting color!

Night:

dont be afraid to be daring in color for the evening. a bold coral looks great with turquoise. and again the peplum top will play up your feminine curves.

for heels go for a fun look, find a pair in a similar shade as your blouse.

since your outfit is so bright and colorful you dont need to overdo it with accessories. keep it simple with a pair of stuf earrings.

so there are three outfits transitioning from day to night. so technically you're getting six! i guess i was feeling generous tonight!

as always have fun! <3
