something other than polka dots

i love classic patterns as much as the next girl, but something i find my wardrobe consisting of only stripes and polka dots. and while they're great basics to have... i get bored.

something i have been loving recently and i find myself looking for are pieces with triangles... its like taking polka dots and turning them into something a little more edgy and geometric. its still feminine, but its new, fresh and different.

so here are three items im on the hunt for more of this spring.

1. Skirts

pair a cute loose fitting tank with this skirt and a navy cardigan and you've got an effortlessly cool look.

add some gray oxford flats and silver bracelets to finish off the look.

2. Blouse

theres something about a blouse that just seems so simple. so to keep that classic simple silhouette, pair this pretty top with a pair of black jeans. tuck the blouse into the jeans for a more polished look.

for accessories keep it to a minimum and put on a brown belt and some brown flats.

tie your hair in a top knot and add a bow, and throw on some tortoise shell cat eye sun glasses when your outdoors.

3.  Acessories.

if your scared of trendy prints the best way to commit without really committing is by accessories, like scarves or earrings.

keep the rest of your outfit simple and casual.

pair with a plain pair of jeans, and sandals or flats.

so those are the three things im on the hunt for and keeping a lookout. its fun to try new patterns and break away from the typical trends. its a great way to spice up your wardrobe and add an unexpected twist!

have fun! <3
