Trend Spotting: Baroque Royalty

There is nothing I love more than history, namely royal history.

I particularly like the baroque era with its fanciful ideas, and elaborate designs.

it was a wealthy abundant lifestyle that was magnificent and beautiful

if you were of high status of course

so why not incorporate that into your wardrobe?

evoke confidence by looking luxurious and ornate?

yes please

Outfit 1. opulence

Keep this look elegant and of high status with gold and black, a sleek palette is exactly what you need to keep from looking too done up. a black peplum top works perfectly as a base for your entire outfit. add a black and gold statement necklace to draw attention at the neckline. a pair of gold ornate pants add detail, and black booties help break up the detail. if you're really daring pair a baroque inspired cardigan over this look. if the pants are more than enough for you a solid cardigan is the way to go.

2. Fit for the Queen

this look is definitely for an evening out. a black embroidered dress adds interest and detail and can often be a conversation starter. to add to this look pair a peplum blazer over for a more business appropriate look. gold bracelets and black and gold shoes add to the elegance of this look.

3. Street Royalty

this is a casual fancy look. Pair a baroque inspired sweater with black skinnies, and studded flats for a put together but casual look. a black scarf keeps accessories to a minimum and neutral. and a gold watch is the perfect amount of bling while still keeping the attention on the elaborate sweater.

so of course these looks wont be everyone's style, but i'm loving the trend.

its always fun to pull ideas from an outfit and create your own as well.

have fun with the fashion trends, don't be afraid to break away from your comfort zone and see what else might inspire you.

Much Love
